A Council Wetland On Springfield Road Reserve

Springfield is a suburb about 4 km east of Gosford’s centre, between Gosford and Erina. Central Coast Council has built a 3 m wide, 80 m long raised boardwalk, called the Chertsey Boardwalk, across the wetland on Springfield Road Reserve. It connects Balfour Close with Willow Road and links the neighbourhood to Chertsey Primary School.

That tells you two things about trees nearby. A tree on the road reserve or wetland is council’s, not yours, even if a branch hangs over your fence. Contact council on 02 4306 7900 before arranging any work. And the Trees (Disputes Between Neighbours) Act 2006 doesn’t cover council land, as our Koolewong page explains.
